Kenya April/May 2025

The drive and heart of Christ For All Tribes is to wait for God’s leading and direction, and then obey the call. The direction for this trip to Kenya came one month before in the form of a dream that Jins recognized as God’s leading. The next morning, he contacted a man in Kenya who was in the dream, a man that he had known over twenty years ago, during his two year tenure in Kenya.

This man confirmed this leading by asking Jins to come, and from there, we booked the ticket. During the first few days in Mombasa, Jins returned to the Youth With A Mission base where he had served for two years in 2003 and 2004. He had the opportunity to share with the students who were doing some biblical courses there. He felt like God sent him there to encourage those students and talk with them about being good leaders for the next generation, by obeying God and walking with Him, and putting their trust in Him. It was nice to hear one of the students say that, “God sent you here just for me.”

After, those few days, Jins moved from the Likoni base to another part of Mombasa, where he met, Thomas, the man who had appeared in his dream. There, he stayed in a hostel near a church and from there, he was able to go to different places to preach and engage in one on one evangelism with Muslims. This is not an easy kind of evangelism, but God opened doors for him to form relationships with individuals and then share the Gospel. He was able to reconnect with a few friends from twenty-one years ago who were Muslim and had since given their lives to Christ. Sometimes we don’t realize the power of the small things we do, but God uses them for His purposes. That is why we should never stop sharing the Gospel with every opportunity that comes our way.

God also gave Jins opportunities to go and preach to youth in a church. He talked with them about how God took a shepherd boy like David and made him a king, and about the dream that God gave to Joseph, eventually fulfilling that dream and taking him to the highest position. When we trust God, he opens doors that nobody else can open. It was an encouragement to the youth because most of them don’t have many opportunities or financial provision.

Jins was invited to go to Nairobi for a church conference to speak during the third week of his trip. The message that God gave him to share was about living for eternity. The church was blessed, and Jins was able to visit a lot of Christian families that had converted from Sikhism. He also had the opportunity to share the Gospel with their family who were not Christians. They invited Jins to come back and minister there again in the future. He came away from the time and experience there encouraged as well.

During Jins’ final days in Mombasa, he met with some of the people that he had shared the Gospel with before and encouraged them to go to church, read the Bible, and seek God.

We want to thank each one of you for your prayers and encouragement. Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are striving to live for Him and be a light in this dark world. God bless you and use you.
